CIIN unveils insurance textbook for secondary schools, colleges
The Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) has unveiled the second edition of insurance textbook for secondary schools and colleges in the country.
The President/Chairman of Council of the Institute, Sir Muftau Oyegunle, said at the unveiling in Lagos that over 12,000 copies of the book had been distributed across the six geo-political zones of the country through the ministries of education in the country.
According to him, all tertiary institutions offering insurance in Nigeria, Cameroon and The Gambia have re ek Ed two sets of the IIN course text books to improve and encourage the students members of the Institute to take the professional examination.
According to the CIIN boss “We have domesticated all our insurance text books but we still maintain a mountain a very healthy relationship with the Insurance Institutes of London because insurance is a global business.
On the influence of insurance to the national economy, he said, “insurance helps the economy to grow. It is a business that builds national wealth. A business that hps people o best poverty. Insurance is there in the interest of our future. It is our collective responsibility to take insurance to the level of higher per engage of penetration like what o tauns in the global environment.”
