NCRIB President promises to sustain enlightenment on role of brokers in risk management
The President of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB), Rotimi Edu, has promised to sustain the pace of public education on the significance of insurance brokers in the management of risks in the country.
Speaking during the October session of members’ evening hosted by Prudential Zenith Life Insurance in Lagos, said insurance brokers have access to many insurance companies and gives it’s clients the best coverage at the optimal price.
According to him, “during his tenure it has remained a thing of joy and personal delight that in all our undertakings, we have been guided by the thurst of his leadership which is based on ‘Brokers Centrism.’
He said “our focus which bothers on insurance brokers welfare, progress and development irrespective of their location and size, would be the pursuit of all decisions and actions that would be taken into consideration throughout my tenure.”
The NCRIB boss stated that the Council leadership team will sustain the corporate feasibility initiatives of the Council.
In his presentation, the Managing Director/CEO, Prudential Zenith Life Insurance, Chuks Ogunbor, said that our company hosted Brokers for their end of year renewal as well as strengthen our relationship with the brokers fraternity.
Specifically, he solicited for brokers patronage because the firm has all that it takes to meet the brokers expectations especially in the area of prompt claims settlement.
According to him, between 2017 and today, Prudential Zenith Life Insurance paid claims in excess of N12 billion, adding that the firm is fully capitalized to the tune of N8 billion as required by the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) before the exercise was suspended by litigation.
